I do not recommend this employer especially if you are in the LGBTQIA+ community unless you are incredibly desperate for any job you can get like I was at the time. It has been a long and terrible experience and I have wanted to quit since the very first time I transferred stores only a couple of months after I was initially hired. I recently was having an incredibly stressful horrible day and spent four hours of a six hour shift literally in tears and despite asking every single manager I was denied the ability to go home. This task requires a managers password and a managers keys as it is a managers job to do it. Red shirt employees such as myself (non managers) are expected to audit their register at the beginning and end of each shift. We are not permitted to accept tips from customers for these free services. There are several free services we are required to offer such as battery installations which can be very dangerous and we are not compensated for them. The managers have consistently punished me for things I have not done wrong without discussing issues with me and have shouted at other employees about me without bringing up the issue to me directly. I identify as nonbinary and despite several nondiscrimination laws and policies almost every single person I have worked with has consistently failed to respect my preferred pronouns despite me stating them very clearly at the time of meeting and reinforcing them every single time they are incorrect. The general work environment is incredibly toxic.
